Akane Nishimura

Akane Nishimura is a young girl who is almost relentlessly bullied by almost everyone in her class. While she seems relatively unaffected by it all, she has walled herself off from everyone as well. This is what makes her try to turn Takada away from her when he professes an interest in her because of her nickname.

Through Takada's relentless attempts at friendship, she starts opening up to him and some of the other kids in her class that weren't a part of her bullies. At some point, she adopts a black kitten which she names Kuro.

One of the reasons why she might have gotten the reaper nickname is because her mother passed away not long after her birth, which is something her classmates know about.
