Bocchi Hitori

Bocchi is a character who suffers from severe social anxiety and is unable to make very many friends because of it. After leaving behind her one friend, Kai, she is prompted with the challenge of making friends with everyone in her new class, so that she and Kai can be reunited and be considered friends once again. She is very shy and is overall quite incompetent and timid. Her name means "alone", which describes her status at the beginning of the show.
