Damuel

Damuel is a young, laynoble knight who is the bodyguard of Rozemyne. He was originally assigned to protect the Apprentice Shrine Maiden, Myne, during a trombe extermination but failed due to Shikikoza hurting her. He was unable to protect her because Shikikoza was of higher status than him.

Damuel is very impressed by Myne during the course of his time with her. He is surprised that Myne helps the orphanage purely out of personal interest, it is unthinkable that a poor commoner would act not for survival but to satisfy a hobby. He is also impressed with her ability to manage her business with the merchants, her numerous new ideas which make large amount of money, and also Myne's ability to read and translate books which should be beyond her ability, and that even a noble who graduated from the Royal Academy would find hard to do.
