Gideon Dee

Firiel's father, an astronomer locked away in a tower who spends his days and nights researching the movement of the stars. Firiel rarely gets to see him, and is jealous that Roux, whom Gideon took on as an apprentice after discovering his talent for math, gets to spend so much time with him.
