A farmer who lives in the Dorincourt Earldom. He is about to be kicked out of the house by Newick because he is ill and unable to pay the rent, but he is saved by Cedie who finds out about it. Higgins has since recovered and is working as a farmer again. He has great respect for Annie and Cedie.
