Keita Kanai

Iku's best friend since childhood. They both played baseball growing up but after suffering severe injuries from pushing Iku out of the path of a truck he was forced to stop playing, prompting Iku to quit as well. Keita is nonetheless a very upbeat and unconcerned person. When he finally convinces Iku to join the baseball team, Megu takes him on as an assistant manager.
