Kouhei

Kouhei (Conway) was shown to be a very smart Trainer. His strategies played an important role in helping himself and Dawn to advance to the finals of the Hearthome City Tag Battle Competition. Conway appears again in "Camping It Up!" through "One Team, Two Team, Red Team, Blue Team!" during a four-episode arc at a summer school. During this arc, he demonstrates his knowledge about Pokémon as well as an attraction toward Dawn. He later appears at the end of the opening "The Greatest - Everyday!"

Conway uses very effective strategies, but doesn't improvise much, something that has led to several losses for him. Examples include using Confusion to redirect an attack, using Protect while another Pokémon attacks, and so on.
