Arthur's longest serving knight. Through the vigilant expenditure of extraordinary cost and immense efforts, Lancelot benefited from intervention by the faeries to become the most formidable of all knights. Known as Lancelot du Lac ('Lancelot of the Lake'). Embodying the spirit of chivalry, Lancelot also has close connections to the Lake and the Round Table and is more determined than any other knight to protect the Guinevere [sic], the administrator of the Round Table.
