English: DeLite (from "delight") may refer to her "sweet" Japanese name. Desirée may come from the word "desire."

Japanese: "Amasugi" comes from amasugiru meaning "too sweet." The name Mareka is apparently the name of a childhood friend of one of the staff members.

French: Comes from plaisir meaning "pleasure."

Background: Desirée met Ron one night when she was attacked at knife point by a pair of robbers. A man in a security guard uniform bravely rescued her, and she quickly fell in love with him. The two haven't been married for long but are very devoted to each other.
