Matakara Asamine is a first year student in high school and the childhood friend of Arajin Tomoshibi.

Matakara is a friendly and caring person. Despite this, he's a delinquent and one of his gang's strongest fighters. Part of why he became a delinquent was because he dreams of becoming a Honki person alongside Arajin; the delinquent lifestyle simply lets him measure his strength against others.

When Matakara was young, he was a bit of a crybaby. He'd often need Arajin to help him out of tough situations. The two of them would train to become Honki people, and this idea stuck with him even after Arajin moved away. Matakara fears that Arajin began to hate him for being weak as a kid, which pushed him even further to become the strongest.
