Mayo

Maya is a character of the day who appeared in Mastering Current Events!. She is the granddaughter and student of McCann.

Ash and his friends ran into Maya and while her Chimecho battled McCann's Scizor. The battle ended with McCann's victory. Her cheery nature softened McCann's hardened stance against all Trainers who he viewed as unworthy of his training. With little effort, she convinced her grandfather to have a battle with Ash and have a rematch the following day. As Ash and his friends left Ash's Gliscor in their hands, she reassured him that it would be looked after.
