Nozomi Horaki is a train otaku, quickly becoming friends with Hayato Hayasugi over their shared interest in the Shinkansen.
Like her sisters Hikari and Kodama, Nozomi is named in reference to the names of the trains of the Tokaido Shinkansen line. She was only mentioned in Neon Genesis Evangelion, with her visual appearance being revealed in 2015 in promotion of the Shinkansen 500 Type Eva.
