Pooly is a female canine who lives around the neighborhood whose relationship with the certain black cat in an old couple's home is unrequited. Kuro was about to propose to her on the day Dr. Go attacked him, leaving the cat heavily injured in the latter protecting her. In the manga, she was injured from the attack but was nursed back to health by the Fuji Grandcouple before the now cyborg Kuro-chan made it home.
In the anime, Pooly was unharmed but moved with her owners due to the attack, not before she dropped by the Fuji residence to check on her hero.
