Souhei Shima, the protagonist of story. When Souhei was younger, he lost contact with his parents and went to go live with his aunt. He’s a smart young boy who enjoys reading and has a gentleman like, calm personality.
During middle school he fell out with his childhood friend Hijiri. All he wants between him and Hijiri is peace. He is, however, bullied in his class for being timid and collected by Hijiri’s friends and he therefore held the strong desire to disappear. He has a cat named Othello.
Lost him temper and having fought with Hijiri, Souhei does not stand the pressure and wants to disappear, and to his surprise he becomes invisible to others. After turning invisible, he travels to the transparent city to seek help and to find his parents.
