Taizo Sugimura

Member of the Japanese Diet who is perhaps overly eager and enthusiastic about the privileges of being a Diet member. He was held hostage by the Americans twice to lure Koizumi to the mahjong table. Though doubted by his peers who think he won his seat by fluke, Koizumi acknowledges Taizo as a bringer of luck.
