A Goze (visually impaired Japanese women, of whom most worked as musicians) accompanied by her daughter, who travels from place to place and playing her Shamisen for noble people. After three years she returns to the village of Nitaboh.
After Nitaboh hears her play a song, he starts following her and eventually she teaches him the way of playing a Shamisen
