Ever since Taotie was born, he was an obsessed voracious creature that can eat anything and everything. It is even said that he even unintentionally ate his own body, reducing himself to being only a head.
Now during current times, he is a haughty and bold megalomaniac, having a high ego of himself. Most of the time he goes around causing trouble and petty misdemeanors towards his enemies, but he can turn out to be a bumbling fool that tries and fails to achieve his heinous goals. Having been reduced to a head, he has a desire to acquire a new body by any means, usually by targeting other beasts in order to take control of their bodies.
He has a fondness for makeovers, having been inspired when Qingtianshu applied makeup and painted eyes on his face for the first time when he was only an infant.Because of this, he also has a tendency to target other beasts to give them makeovers against their will. This hobby, if not obsession, also makes him very vain and sensitive about his facial appearance, running away in shame if his makeup and/or "eyes" were to be forcibly erased.
Despite his bold personality, he's also shown to be fearful and nervous when in serious confrontation, acting innocent as to not say anything or pick any sides
