He is different from a real moon because he never goes through different phases, instead, he always resembles a crescent.
Tsukitchi has a different appearance in Vampire Mametchi, a TAMAX-TV series in the Tamagotchi! anime. He has a frankenstein-esque appearance, having multiple colors and another face stitched on to them.
