Yamitaro Higure

Higure is often called an "Otaku" by his rival Masa, mostly as an insult. In Japan the word "Otaku" means a person who extremely obsesses over something, to the point that their lives revolve around absolutely nothing but their obsession. In Higure's case, it's rare chip collecting.

Higure has his own Rare Battle Chip shop in town, as well as his own Net Navi called Numberman. Higure doesn't get along with Masa, as they are both trying to compete for Mariko-sensei's affections.
