In the 58th episode of the 1996 Anime, she was somewhat warm to Kitarou than her husband as she replied to Yukinko's request to spare Kitarou's life, her answer was that "if he can live with us from now on". Despite harshness towards Kitarou, her family's attacks on humans were to save wildlife from poaching.
While it was implied that they would revive after being melted, it is unclear whether or not the Yuki-Onna who later appeared as an ally of Kitarou with Tsurara-Onna was the same individual.
