Ace no Jouken

Takeshii Dojima, a left-handed pitcher who is expected to be the ace pitcher of the baseball team of Osaka's Asayo High School, continues to work hard every day under the watchful eye of his kind but strict mentor Negi-sensei and coach Gazi.
However, he is competing for the title of ace with a rival pitcher, Koichi Hirobe, whose father is the chairman of the board. He is hit by a series of misfortunes, including his father Gozo's imprisonment, his mother Shizuko's death in a car accident, and some trouble involving a professional baseball scout. But will all of that stop him from becoming an ace pitcher?
