Beyond the sky lies the heavens, which are divided into three worlds. They are the "Heavenly World" of angels, the "Demonic World" of demons, and the "Madou World" where angels and demons gather. In the "Madou World," angels and demons live peaceful lives, living in harmony. Angels and demons also have a job called "welcoming spirits," where they go to welcome the souls of dying people, where demons grant two wishes to the human, and angels guide the souls to heaven with a halo of light.

The story is about the angel Michael and the demon Phylla, who are paired up by a "welcoming spirit" and fall in love with each other.
