Final Re:Quest

It's the typical setting of a JRPG. be a hero, find party members, defeat demon king, go home, celebrate. The end, good ending, roll the credits. But that's not all.

What if I told you, that after all the credits rolled, and all the characters froze in-place as the "game over" screen shows up, there's a character who suddenly regains his consciousness? What if there wasn't just one, but the entire hero's party suddenly regained consciousness while the other NPCs just stood there like a training mannequin? What if i told you, that this whole "Hero Defeats Demon King" fiasco is but a plan devised by the Great Demon King himself, to teach those heroes about despair?
