Gall Force: The Revolution

An alternate telling of the events of 1996's Gall Force: The Revolution.

A cosmic civil war has been raging between members of the Solenoid species for countless generations. The factions of East and West regularly engage in ruthless battles that result in high casualty rates on both sides. After losing her girlfriend during a particularly destructive battle, ace West pilot Lufy pursues the fleeing East battleship the Starleaf into parts unknown. When the crew of the Starleaf land aboard a mysterious space vessel to investigate, all hell breaks loose as the crew are forced to combat the threat of both Lufy and the monsters that guard the station.

The fighting is halted by members of Conch, an outlawed Solenoid splinter faction intent on ending the war. Revelations about the East-West conflict soon come to light and Lufy and the Starleaf crew ultimately decide to side with Conch. As the crew of the Starleaf attempt to flee from West forces hellbent on undoing Conch's efforts, Lufy decides makes the ultimate sacrifice in an effort to halt West forces and buy the Starleaf crew time to escape.
