High school sophomore and baseball team regular Oosuke Yae has made several important choices in his life that have brought him to where he is now. As he finds himself reflecting on what his life would look like had he chosen to do things differently, a person who looks exactly like him appears before his very eyes.

Claiming to also be Oosuke Yae, the doppelganger has followed a path that greatly diverges from the one Oosuke had taken and now lives a completely separate reality. Struggling to process this strange phenomenon, Oosuke wonders if this other version of him is the one who made the right choices all along.
