Shanghai Loser

Shanghai, 1999. A city on the edge. People feared to be called losers. There was a criminal syndicate called Heiban based in Shanghai that controlled all of China. Their scale and connections were unbelievable.

As a son of small restaurant owner, Rui worked as a gourmet writer and loved his job. His fiancée, Honghua, was a beautiful college student. Rui was confident that his happy life would continue—but he was too naïve. Rui knew his childhood friend, Zihao, was a member of Heiban, but he believed they were still friends. One day, Rui helped some children living on the street, and that small good act led him to tragedy.

Zihao destroyed everything he had... so Rui decided to get revenge.
