Seven-year-old slave girl, Reniae receives a prophecy as a gift at the temple of Inanna, goddess of love and war. The great Inanna speaks: "I see two men who love you. I see two men whom you love. I see two men who kill you. I see two men whom you kill." The girl, who did not like the gift, changes the words and makes a prophecy for herself. The brave and strong Reniae speaks: "I see one man who loves me. I see one man whom I love. I see one man who saves me. I see one man whom I save."

"Don't forget. You owe me your life, and you swore to be mine, Reniae."
"I will protect you. I will protect you from the hands of every wild beast and every person trying to harm you and from any god trying to harm you."

But the blessing became a curse, and her choice became her chains. Reniae swears not to spread her curse by loving someone else...
