The Perks of Being a Villain

An orphan in real life one day wakes up as a main character in a novel she was reading. An orphan in the novel as well, she is adopted to a villainous family who served as the main adversary against the main character in the original plot... except, the family seems way nicer than she expected. Are these really the same villains that caused so much pain the novel?
